Thanks to french by design for pointing the way to a new e-magazine called est ("global living with an australian twist")!

I may not have a nursery that needs some decorating but I could apply the bedroom decor to any room. Liking the mobile, the simple wood floors, and the artwork installed up to the ceiling. 

Also have a new need for red bedding for spring and summer - to be tossed over crisp white sheets and pillowcases!

newest Lonny favorites: mirrors + colors

There's something about this room. I just really like it.
And all this week, I've been noticing mirrors of all kinds.  
They really add sparkle and texture to a room, don't they?!

What a cozy bedroom!  I could curl up on this bed and read for hours -
while gazing out at the sunshine or raindrops.

Watched "I Capture the Castle" last night on DVD.  Had been reading the book but also had the DVD from the library so I decided to watch it.  Loved the decor and the clothing.  Really liked the movie and do recommend it. (Had to take a few minutes at the start of the film to get over the fact that Henry Thomas - the little boy from the movie E.T. - was one of the main characters.)  The main focus is on Cassandra, played by an actress who is beautiful and has such an expressive face.  

Now I'm looking for more movie and book recommendations. Any suggestions?

I confess. I have another blog.  

There, I said it.  This one we're on here seems to have narrowed itself (okay - I narrowed it) to Pretty Pictures Only.  Why? I don't know.  Then I have this other blog about decluttering my closet, working out and trying to get rid of some spare pounds that stick around, and other fun projects.....and am having fun with it.  THIS blog, my Pretty Blog, is amazing to put together.  The other one? fun, fun, fun...for me anyway.  (pardon the many "me" and "I" references here.  will ban myself..uh...Sunny..from using those again this week)

Swooning over wire baskets.  Must find some zinc baskets in the States!  

Speaking of finding things, must find a way to purchase a Livingetc subscription.  If I bought every issue I could find at Barnes & Noble (30 minute drive from my home), it would be $108/year. However, buying a year's worth is impossible because the B & N only buys ONE issue per month and others like to buy it too...so I buy Livingetc about six times a year.  I did visit the livingetc subscription page and they had a way to put in U.S. addresses and use my credit card...I don't think it would have been the $178 U.S. price I was seeing on magazine subscription sites that sell loads of magazines but I can't be sure. 

I do have a local, independent bookseller a mile from the office who used to sell some international magazines.  They haven't had Livingetc for awhile, so I've gone to a Big Chain Store to get the magazine instead.  But I'd much rather purchase it locally and support my community.

What to do?!  Do you buy international magazines? Where?
