Chicago Home with Clean Lines & Character

Hello!  It's been awhile only because I'm on "beautiful photo overload" on instagram (personal) and instagram (for this blog), and I don't want to post just any ol' house!  {If you're on instagram, please comment with your link so we can all enjoy your photos!)

Stumbled on this cute Chicago home with character and clean lines.  She describes her tendency to stock up and has to learn that slight hoarding isn't necessary.  The photos speak for themselves.  Adorable home.

She says, "On letting go: I have come to a point in my life where I realize I don’t have to hoard everything. Not that I was a hoarder, but I grew up without a ton of money, so I held onto a lot of things because that’s all I had. Since becoming an adult, I have realized that it’s okay to get rid of things if you’re not using them. We try to be purposeful with everything we bring in our house, so this quote exemplifies our way of living now."

Talin spent most of her life in France but moved to Minneapolis with her husband. Their goal was to create a house that felt like them. The result has a French influence.

I adore the "sneak peek" series at Design*Sponge... and as an apartment dweller, I perked up when I saw this "best of studio apartments" post!   I'm in a one bedroom apartment at the moment but would love to someday downsize to a studio apartment!  These photos will go directly to my inspiration file!

annie + michael have the loveliest home (isn't it fun to see how people personalize rentals?!).  It's difficult to pick a favorite room, but I will go with the child's room - - it's adorable!

PS: Annie has a blog if you're interested.  I love her post on "home" where she talks about why she likes to be at home, her fondness for pretty things,  and collects vintage items to fit into her decor at home.

Dinka and Zinka live in the U.K. in flats next door to each other.  Each has her own decorating style yet maintains a clean, polished look in decor. 

Have to say - the rooms with the red accents are my favorites!
