So much for spring! We had sleet, icy rain, and then four inches of snow. Hello, Wisconsin weather! Thankfully I could turn to Green Is the New Black for some bright colors to offer instant cheer!

It feels like spring today which reminds me of spring when I was a child. My brothers and I would run around outside for hours while playing frisbee or capture the flag, playing on swingsets, and we'd arrive home exhausted and covered in mud. (How fun it was to squish your toes in mud puddles.)

It's been quite a week. I have been on an anti-depressant for two years - starting on it after a few months of anxiety and a known family history of depression and anxiety. It is an expensive drug, and I have been fortunate to have gotten samples from my doctors office every few weeks for two years except this week.
I had this nudge from God when the office continually didn't have samples for me despite my daily calls - that maybe I should go off of it (Lexapro). I decided to and then googled "Lexapro withdrawal" and read of some awful, awful side effects that happen when people go cold turkey. (Which makes me hesitant now to put that in my body- it's some strong stuff!) I'm chancing it and am on Day Three and have had no ill side effects from the withdrawal....yet. I've kept my meals free of sugar and filled with protein and vegetables and some smoothies and gotten enough sleep.
Have to admit that Days Four and Five may be the most difficult - and I'm happy they fall on a weekend.
WHEW! There, we made it. Are you okay? I'm okay. I'm smiling. I'm not crying. Am feeling cheerfully hopeful.
[This is my current experience. I know that medicines are needed -my friends and relatives are on them so I know. I'm just hoping I don't need to be on this anymore. ]
If you're thinking, "What's so 'life makeunder' about that story?!", I thought of makeunder as a way to portray the drug leaving my life and leaving me behind with a better life! Perhaps decluttering my pantry closet would help as well.
It has been fun to look for ways to nourish my body as it goes through this "WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME?" stage. So this weekend will include seeing the new romantic comedy that Adam Sandler is in, playing cards with some former students of mine, and going to a pizza 'n bowling night to celebrate the birthday of two friends!

EDITED: Indulged in two movies tonight: "The Dilemma" and "Just Go With It". Actually began liking Vince Vaughn in The Dilemma...felt drawn to his character somehow... and then laughed a lot while watching Just Go With It. I liked Jennifer Aniston's acting and her character, the kids were adorable, and Adam Sandler was his usual self. Have to say I liked the Adam Sandler movie the best. Now.... time to sleep in then work out in the pool!

Good morning from this not-so-savvy blog designer. (ha! not a designer either!) I was given this gift of a badge from IKEA Family LIVE because I adore their site and return often to snag inspirational photos to share here! (It took me forever and a day to figure out how to put the image into the sidebar. Since I was poking around there anyway - I changed the blogroll to green just for fun.)
I will accept the badge because it seems there are only four of us worldwide who have been given the badge.
Well now, let's jump down off a high horse (sheesh..feel free to knock me down from there anytime!) and look at some photos of a home a couple moved into recently - as in - they're barely settled in but the place looks really good.
I love peeking into other people's homes....and a facebook page lets me do that. (and now you know my secret photo source. since I'm divulging secrets, I should tell you that I don't just crave sweet foods or salty foods. I like a mix of sweet and salty - like a french fry dipped into a chocolate shake..then eaten. Perfection.)

How is your week going? I was able to be at home all day yesterday during the blizzard. A friend and I challenged each other via email all day to get projects done around the house. So now I have a newly organized bathroom, a sparkling kitchen, and a decluttered dining area/entryway. With intentions of baking some muffins later, I began to read a book. A long nap later with my book abandoned on the floor, thoughts of baking were set aside in favor of making dinner and watching American Idol auditions.

We're facing a blizzard here this afternoon. [wow...typed that out so calmly. yep - a blizzard.] With a day at home tomorrow, I am vowing to tackle the clutter that is hiding in drawers, cupboards and closets.
I had yet another dream about clutter last night - this one revealed my attachment to "stuff" (random collection of items that I haven't found homes for yet). In the dream, I'm stranded on the West Coast where I used to live and I have to catch a flight to the Midwest and cannot bring with me the cache of belongings that I've built up over the years on the West Coast and from my childhood home. In fact, I'm only able to bring a small bag's worth of items - and I tearfully tell someone it's so difficult to select what to pack because I love things and if I leave something behind, it's like leaving part of my childhood behind.
Who says dreams aren't truthful?! That dream was chock full of truths that I need to face.
[ummm..is this therapy? how much do I owe you?! could you please pass the box of tissues and maybe some chocolate?]
