Spent the afternoon and evening with these two: niece mimo and nephew hudson. Who needs a playground? As we entered and exited Target, both ran to the big red balls ("Wipeout" anyone? on ABC) and Hudson would run from one to the other - yelling TOUCH, TOUCH!!! Mimo would sit on one and when her brother intruded, she'd move to the opposite one - on the other side of the entrance. The kids were occupied this way for 15 minutes. We'd just had dinner at Culvers (burger/ice cream place) where I jumped up a million times to get napkins, straws, ketchup and the like. Each time, Mimo yelled I WANNA GO WITH YOU! And she'd hop down, grab my hand and carefully carry the item back to the table. Meanwhile, Hudson has discovered that anything he does is adorable so he was entertaining us while dipping the same crinkly french fry into the ketchup over and over, internalizing all the sugar that's in the ketchup - which only fueled him on to get sillier. How do parents do this all the time?!
