As I pare down my belongings even further in 2017, I'm keeping in mind a few things: the Minimalists' idea of "just in case" (getting rid of things I think I need if I can replace it easily within 20 miles for under $20); Marie Kondo's method of keeping only what brings me joy (practical items bring me joy too!); and also determining if I'd would rather have the clear space in my apartment or keep the item. Clear space usually wins. It's dozens of small choices a week that keep my condo from looking like an episode of the British show, Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners - as in the family that needs help - not the obsessive cleaner! How are you doing in your home? Any hints for me to keep in mind?
